The Roads are Blocked.

(from Our Correspondent)

Ocho Rios, Nov. 18.- High winds and heavy rains continue here; the roads are all blocked, and as a result, up to the time of

writing, no south-side mails have come in,

nor are any telegraph communications

available.

The cultivations around have suffered very

much, losing a large number of banana and other fruit trees.

An emergency gang has been put on to repair the roads leading to town, but the

work is very trying, because as soon as

anything is done the waters from the hills,

augmented by the overflow from the river

wash it away.

Restorations were carried out with

The Vice-Chairman stated that the

Superintendent of Public Works had funds

for this purpose.

The Board directed that this be brought to the attention of the Public Works Superintendent.
